The matter will be heard on Monday. The Eknath Shinde camp has also challenged the appointment of Ajay Choudhari as the Shiv Sena Legislature Party leader by the Thackeray camp and also the rejection of no-confidence motion against Deputy Speaker Narahari Zirwal. The rebels have asked the top court to order the Deputy Speaker not to take any action on the disqualification plea till the matter of his removal is decided. They have also asked the court to direct the Maharashtra government to provide security to their families. The Shiv Sena has filed appeals for disqualification of 16 rebel MLAs earlier this week with the Deputy Speaker. According to Health Department bulletin, both the persons who died today had not taken the precautionary dose. However, they had taken both the doses of vaccination. An FIR in this connection has been filed against Rahul Sharma, Vishal Garg (both partners of M/S Alchemy India), and Harish Arora and Abhinav Chandala for collecting Rs 4.79 cr from the complainant towards a bungalow but failing to hand over the property to him. The complainant has alleged that all accused induced him to pay Rs 2.62 cr towards security deposit to become exclusive marketing agent to sell villas situated at Chopdem. The accused also induced the complainant to deposit Rs 2.40 cr towards marketing expenses. The villas have been developed by Alchemy India Pvt Ltd. on June 24 after 5-day police custody. The second to be arrested was Mohammed Sohail who is in police custody. Diresh Naik and Shivanand Madkaikar are the two others -- staffers of Archives Department -- who have been arrested. The SIT is also investigating the case in which the complainant is Arjun Shetye Civil-cum-Sub registrar, Mapusa. During the investigation, it was revealed that the concerned properties had no legal heirs as the owners had either died or migrated. As per the complaint before SIT, Naik removed ‘Look Registers’ from the department and handed them to the accused to forge documents. The probe found that several properties had no legal heirs due to death or migration of owners. It may be recalled that the chief minister had said more arrests were likely in the fraudulent deals and cases of land grab as people had begun to approach him with complaints.
