District Judge Bosco Roberts, who delivered the verdict around 9 pm after concluding hearing arguments till lunch break, directed Velingkar to comply with the notices issued by the Bicholim police and to cooperate with the investigation. The former RSS chief has been absconding since the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) by the Bicholim police for making offensive remarks against St Francis Xavier.
